You’re not taking money out of people’s pockets, or the pockets of the casinos, to make a statement about the unfairness of gambling. You’re taking money out of the economy, into the pockets of the casinos, and we should be upset about that.

Federal legislation called the Trusteeship for Senior Citizens Act sets out a series of restrictions on the transfer of senior citizen’s cars if one of the main beneficiaries dies.
The laws also prohibit parents from having a car purchased until they’re 40.
For example, if one parent is 70, and the other parent is 60 he can’t give their car to the younger parent until he’s 60, or until the other parent can prove they are no longer in need of the car.
The federal government has no power to prevent the transfer of such cars, or to make that part of a will, as long as it is in accordance with federal law.
All of these rules apply to car trusts created after May 1, 1996.

Some car trust laws do prohibit the transfer of cars between siblings as a matter of law.
And in some other states, the vehicle can’t be owned by someone who is on disability, as they are considered in need of the car, even in the absence of a will.
