It’s actually kind of fun. It’s actually kind of hard!
What sort of chemicals do you use?
I try to do it the same way I would spray paint a piece of furniture. I use a spray bottle made of an oil-resistant and flexible plastic. I use two bottles of water.
Do you work in a spray booth during your shoot?
I don’t have one, so I have to use my own setup. But actually, I do not shoot outdoors; I shoot indoors and in a studio. Because what we do with that scene is that we move the camera to different areas of the house. If I don’t have a booth, I’ll usually do that on the wall.
Did you actually get to test your skills in the paint booth before you started shooting?
I did test it. My dad asked me if I could try it first, to see what it was like. It’s really hard to paint, so I was really nervous, but I didn’t do too bad. My dad even did some things with it, and it wasn’t a big problem. I used some things that make it a little more slippery, but that’s all. I had a great time.
If you do get to try some of the paint booth techniques you developed earlier in your career, where can fans expect to see you in your next movie?
I hope I can be shooting one of my projects in the next few years.
If so, where’d you want to shoot it?
I think any place in the country. But probably my favorite area, I think, would be Los Angeles, which is not as far away from where I live but very close to where I’m shooting.
And where do you like to shoot your other art projects?
In a studio with a very high-end camera set ups. I like to use my own special things. I had a little booth set out in front of the studio for my first movie, called The Longest Night and I did some work in a booth for another project, The Death of a Salesman, and I did a booth for a movie I have been wanting to make, called the Death of a Salesman and Death as I know it.
As far as the rest, I’d have to tell you my favorite color pallet, so far, is gray. I like to color every piece of film I make and, if I have
