I used to be able to dance with some of the best and the brightest, but I’ve stopped for the past 3-4 years. I went to art school, and I’m not sure what I’m going to do. I’m just trying to stop myself from taking it the wrong way…
I have been in this industry for 20 years, and I think I just learned something I shouldn’t have. And I don’t want to be rude, but I’m not really looking for a friend in the game. I want to be my own boss. If i become good, and if I’m good, I’m going to make some money, and if I’m not, I’m not going to get paid, then that’s it. I just want to know what’s going on in the business, and I want to start doing something myself. I’m no lawyer, but I do know what I’m doing, and I don’t want to just walk away from it without a damn good reason.
I’ve always been fascinated with how art can shape behavior…I just got involved with a girl from a different studio that I used to work at. I was friends with her for years, and I’ve known her since when I was 15. I know she’s not exactly a great dancer, but…I have found her…she’s going to do some good things. I think she’s talented and talented. I’m starting to learn a little more about it, and I’m gonna do something about it.
I work in a dance club. A lot of the dancers I see around the studio are terrible for the work. I don’t wanna know it’s them (the ones that get paid), but…I would like to tell them: “Listen, I hear it! Maybe you should get outta here. Go do something else, or don’t come here!”
The only thing I can think of that’s good for a DJ is money.
