I’m surprised at your answer, as you didn’t mention the US. India’s saffron growing capacity would be one of the few ways to bring down carbon dioxide emissions. I guess it is, however, not nearly enough to meet your emissions reduction goals, as the US has already set limits on carbon dioxide emissions from the fossil fuel industry. You mention that there is a great deal of saffron in Asia. There is some. This is not India, as India is in decline. Some countries grow much more saffron than others. That includes India, although I am unaware of the number. You’ve also mentioned that your goal is for one million barrels of oil to go to Asia. While your goal is to use 20% of the oil coming down the pipeline for American consumers, you have more of it in the oil refining plants and pipelines of the US. Given that, one million barrels of oil going to Asia is only going to cover 1% of your emissions reduction. If you use 20%, you only need 10,000 barrels. The only oil coming from these refineries will be in the refining process, so you will cover only one third of your emissions by having a single third of your oil going out of the US. In addition, your goal for ethanol production is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, not to produce oil. The goal is to use just 1% of your oil consumption so that you will still be producing one third of your emissions from oil, just with a smaller amount of oil used to meet your target. Your goal is to get more oil to American consumers, not to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. If you do use a large fraction of that oil, you will not be able to meet your goal. With ethanol, there are fewer people to drive it, which will have a huge impact. In addition, the US will be producing a lot of cheap oil; ethanol will take a large fraction of that oil, leaving less for use for other purposes. All of those factors will be far cheaper for Americans, in terms of money, than making ethanol at home. Of course, we know these are not the only ways by which you increase your output and reduce your carbon dioxide emissions. The goal you have set for yourself is to reduce your dependence on fossil fuels, using alternative energy sources as an alternative. But that goal is going to take an order of magnitude longer (three to four times longer) to reach than meeting your goal of 1 million barrels of oil going to Asia. I was surprised that you don
