In the old days in India, it was red, but the color was not so popular in India today because a lot of saffron comes from India’s south. I just used the black color.

I had to get to work and write about the Republican Party’s failed “Gang of Eight” immigration resolution on Friday morning to save my job. For five years, the Gang of Eight failed in their efforts to pass a major piece of legislation called H.R. 486, the “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill. Not only did they fail to pass the bill – the Republican-led Senate voted to defeat it – they also failed to pass the bill on the House floor, allowing Democrats to run up the score on their own to pass a Senate-approved bill and then return to the House floor where they would vote on the Senate-approved bill. And they failed that vote as well, despite having the House Majority Leader call the House floor to tell everyone that he had been told the Gang of Eight were going to pass it. In the end, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a watered-down version of the bill that had been watered down so little that it was a shell of its original conception, the same bill that President Obama had vowed “we’re not gonna let up on” in his election campaign.
On Friday morning, it was the Gang of Eight who got called into the White House briefing room and told that it was not enough. Apparently the Gang of Eight’s solution to the Gang of Eight’s problem isn’t enough, apparently that is a solution too far. Now the Gang of Eight’s solution is to come up with
