Well, let me make that very easy for you.
Piano chord scales
The piano chords are based off of the C major scale. I played the major scale through the E, F#, G, and A chords, and those scales would fit the chord shapes of a G7, F#7, or A7.
If you learned G7, Bb7, C7 chords in your piano lessons in the past, those chord shapes probably still apply to a G7, Bb7, or C7 chord in a major key.
To play a G major scale in any key, you could play the C major scale through E minor, G minor, C major, G major, Am minor, Bb9, or Eb7 chords in any key, or you could play F major scale through A minor, C major, G minor, and D7 chords in the same key.
In that case the new note is a “B” in a major key. That is, Cmaj7. You would find the G minor scale is the same, except E is replaced by E or F. And the A minor scales are Cmaj6, Em7, or Em3.
In the diagram on the right, you can see the scales from A minor down to C.
A major scale in major keys
A major scale in major keys can also function in minor key, because some chord shapes for A major also correspond to minor key chord shapes. For example, F major scale can be transformed into chord shapes to play A minor, G major, A minor, and G7.
In the chart on the left, you will see chords representing the major scale in each key. You can play the major scale in your head first, and then use chord shapes from major keys to see how your ears work.
Notice the G7 is the same as A7 in the G minor key. Also notice that F major scale is the same as C7 in the G minor key.
Because the scale is the same, it gives us the power to play any major scale chord in any key. You can play any of the major scales in any keys in your head first, and then using the chords in key to see how your ears work.
