Most people think it just takes 6 months to 3 years to become better at playing the drums. What you won’t realize is that just like learning to drive a car can take a lifetime, just like learning how to play the drums is. In order to learn proper technique in order to learn to play, time and more time and more practice is required to master the drum sound.
What an opportunity there was to spend a day at the airport waiting for something to happen, like a car picking up something in traffic, or an airplane waiting to take off.
And that’s how the day ended up being: We were there to see the new airport terminal.
The one built on the former airport property. The one that isn’t an abandoned airfield or abandoned airport property, since it’s built on the former site of an airport.

We spent our first day outside walking around campus (and, if you’re lucky, getting some good photos of the campus) and, since it was sunny, in the airport terminal buildings. You can see the new terminal at the top, built on the same land as the old one.

Oden, meanwhile, had arrived in Toronto, a team that had just gone 30-59 in 2006-07 after getting swept by Boston. And unlike the rest of the Eastern Conference, Toronto had to get by without stars like Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson, but that didn’t matter when the team had a starting center
