She gets on, and Riley thinks “this would work.”
He says “I’m not going to get in a lot of trouble.” But says in retrospect that if this happened today he would have stopped her. He doesn’t want to get arrested and get a lot of trouble. He says that if someone called the police, they would ask why he would allow a person to do something like this. He adds, “I have no problem.” He finishes with “I’m just glad nobody called the police. There’s no point in getting all this attention.”
As the train starts to pull away, he puts his arm around her. She tells Riley that she hasn’t changed her attitude. “I am still going to say I don’t wanna get raped, but I’m not going to do what you’re asking me to do.” They both walk towards the exit. Riley says “I don’t want to get arrested, but I do want to tell the police. I’m not going to give them any reason to do this.”
A few moments later, she says “I’m not even trying to stop. I’m happy the train is moving so the guys aren’t getting on.”
