You’re a flapper girl. Don’t worry.”
But here is my problem: The first time we played her, the thing I had come for was not so much the physical appeal as the psychological.
So, how the hell did my flapper girl character become a flapper girl? And what is my mistake when I talk about it, and how can I fix it?

I have been playing video games since I was a kid, and I’ve been obsessed with video games my whole career. The first game I bought was the Atari 2600, and it had the greatest graphics money could buy at the time. But as I grew older, the game changed little. For this reason, I became convinced I needed to see why I liked a particular game better than any of the others – and I think I’m going to learn something. That’s my problem.

Back at school, I had a friend who used to make me go out with her to play tennis. And we usually had sex in the arcade. When I started dating, we stopped playing tennis. It was too boring. It was too boring, because I just wasn’t into it. I never stopped playing, but I didn’t have the same passion for it that I have for video games.
It wasn’t like I didn’t have one of those hobbies where you’re a pretty good tennis player – one of those hobbies like, oh, I was the most exciting kid in my class and I would just go up to everyone and play the best game I could, you know? So that makes me a bit of a cheat.
I just didn’t have the same passion for video games compared to when I was a child. But I still played them, even though I wasn’t into it. To be honest, it bothered me a lot because I still had that intense desire to see what the game was about. That’s something I’m not anymore. I really like seeing things first-hand, especially in games.

I started to get serious about video games once I graduated. It’s the only major part of my life I was actually able to do the job I wanted to do – I was a full-time college student, and I got my master’s from a university. My girlfriend and I went to an apartment complex in Chicago, a real quiet, nice place with a gym and something called The Breslin for kids
