This outfit (below) shows off the same color pattern as their previous “L” design.
This, too, uses traditional black and grey-coloured polos.
Their new logo, above, is a modified version of a coat of arms found in England:
This is the last time they used this logo on a T shirt or a football uniform:
This logo is also similar to those on the Canadian flag, although the stripes in the white represent Canada as a confederation.
The last two photos show their current logo. It features a white-topped crown and a black border, similar to the one on the Canadian flag.
So far, the only T-shirt that has the team’s official logo printed on them was the one worn by the players before the game against the Giants in last year’s Super Bowl.
Of course, this is all going to change soon. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced in January that the NFL would be adding a new uniform design on all new jerseys to accompany its new uniforms policy and, with it, all uniform variants.
A logo will be printed on the shoulder patch for each jersey.
So where will that new design go? One of the biggest rumors circulating around the league right now revolves around a rerelease of the classic NFL “L” design, as seen on the T-shirts worn by the Jets in the 1950s and, more recently, in other NFL teams’ uniforms.
That “L” design was designed by one of the most respected sports designers of the 20th century: Ralph Engelbrecht. It was created as a nod to football in its inception before the modern-era “L” evolved into the league’s standard logo.
While the original design was created to look like football uniforms for the men’s game, it’s clear the designers wanted to have a more recognizable logo when they designed the logo for the men’s game. Unfortunately, that design never made it to the men’s game, so it’s unknown as to how the design will be used this time around. The team’s official website also states that it will only be used as a “base”, but that’s as far as we know.
What will the new logo look like?
