What colors were popular in the 1980’s? – 1920S Flapper Dress Historical Pictures Of Native Americans

The colors we all wore at school and while driving into the mall were: blue, green, yellow, purple, brown, black, white and red. These colors were popular because they blended together and stood out well. For example, if you were in a highschool back then, you would wear an orange skirt, blue shirt and green and white sneakers. So, if you wanted to be seen, you would wear orange, white, blue and green.

Now, the 1980’s didn’t stop people from wearing purple pants. Purple just had that classic, summer look of it making you look good and feel good. You wanted to look good and feel good and that combination just doesn’t exist anymore. These days, purple pants just look kind of silly. If you want to be an upstanding person, a good role model, or your neighbor’s kid, your pants should be either dark purple, navy or khaki. You shouldn’t be buying purple because it looks cool, but because you have to wear purple.

The 1970’s is an interesting time because color schemes became much more prevalent. Even though you’ve got black in the 70’s, there is this other color of black that you won’t go to a party wearing. Black is more stylish than just black, but it’s less popular with kids. That’s pretty much all of them. Now, the 1970’s brought about the trend for a brighter, red-orange, blue, and yellow-green color scheme. People wanted to have something for their clothes and look good together.

So now it’s become a big deal when people buy clothes to be more cool or look nice with someone. Color is just becoming more important today. Kids aren’t wearing the old, classic colors anymore, they just want something for their clothes. They want to be seen and they want to be associated with something. The same goes for a party outfit. Now, kids are spending a lot of money on accessories and they want to wear something with that on it, like a tie, dress or a tuxedo. That just isn’t the case.
